Welcome! My name is Avery Newman and I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Apparel Design at Oregon State University in June 2024. I am currently working at a boutique local in Corvallis where I design and bring my visions to life making custom apparel for a diverse range of consumers. About me
I am currently a Senior at OSU and I am very excited about what the future holds for me once I graduate! A fun fact about me is I attended Beauty School while in High School and earned my Esthetician License, Freelance License, and Independent Contractor License. After completing the Cosmetology program, I have been performing Eyelash Extension Services ever since while going to school and working at the boutique. I love staying busy! A custom hat I created
Honeygurl Boutique
I have been employed at Honeygurl Boutique since September 2022. My current position being a Graphic Designer and a Sales Floor Representative has been an amazing experience! Each day is different and full of possibilities. I have personally designed a bunch of apparel ranging from crewnecks, tops, hats, and more!

Pictured below is a tattoo design I drew for myself using Adobe Illustrator. To the right shows the tattoo in action! This design means a lot to me!
Pictured to the left is a custom design I created for my Sorority, Alpha Phi for Dad’s Weekend in 2021 when I had the position of Director of Merchandising in my Sorority. During this time I also worked for a company called “South by Sea” where I would design and create custom apparel for chapters on campus and other clientele! 
Above shows a pattern I made in Illustrator and then I brought it over to Lotta for a 3-D visual on a pair of leggings for one of my design classes.
Pictured above are two examples of technical flats I have created using Adobe Illustrator! Technical flats are always fun to do and something I really enjoy!
I have also created lots of pattern swatches using Illustrator! To the left is an example of one I have made for a class recently.
